Adult Choir:
The Adult Choir provides strong musical leadership for three liturgies a month – usually at the 10:00 am Mass. This choir sings a wide variety of musical styles. They practice on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, three times a month from September to May. In the fall of 2009, this choir recorded a CD, “Sing Out a New Song to the Lord” which sold 1,000 copies. All proceeds went to the flood recovery effort. Our director, Michael H. Phelan, is a retired high school vocal director who brings many years of experience and choral knowledge to our choir. New members are always welcome!
Resurrection Choir:
This choir provides musical leadership for our funerals at St. Pat’s. They do not have a separate rehearsal time and traditionally sing familiar hymns. Singers who are available during the day or Saturday mornings are encouraged to join this very important part of our music ministry. Call the Parish center to be placed on the calling list.
Cantors:
We use cantors for each liturgy that is scheduled with an organist/pianist. They provide musical leadership for congregational singing. The cantors usually sing a musical setting of the Responsorial Psalm, a very important part of our liturgy.
Instrumentalists:
We currently use flutes with our weekly liturgies and trumpets for special feast days. High school age and adult instrumentalists are always a welcome addition to our organ/piano accompaniments.
High School students are welcome to become part of the Adult Choir or form cantor groups. Please contact our music director, Jan Jasiewicz.
