 Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a city-wide organization that has been in existence in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years.  The Legion honors the Blessed Virgin Mary through the praying of the rosary, other special prayers and devotions, and through doing corporal works of mercy.  The Legion was organized on September 7th 1921 in Dublin, Ireland and has since spread through every nation in the world.  For more information on getting involved in the Legion of Mary please contact the Parish Office.

 
National Catholic Society of Foresters
The National Catholic Society of Forester is a fraternal organization whose motto is ?Love, Benevolence and Charity; charity of thought, charity of deed, and charity of action.?  This group meets in the first Thursday of each month with the exception of January, July and August.  For more information on getting involved with the National Catholic Society of Foresters please contact the Parish Office.

 Knights of Columbus
Faith, Family, and Fraternity makes up the foundation upon which the Knights of Columbus stands.  Their programs and projects make a difference in communities and countries throughout the world.  Over the last 10 years, Knights of Columbus members and their families preformed more than 448 million hours of volunteer service and contributed more than $998 million dollars to charitable causes.  To become a Knight you must be a Catholic male at least 18 years of age or older.  For more information on how to get involved in the Knights of Columbus please contact the Parish Office.

 Senior Citizens
Throughout the year there are several activities within the Parish that are held specifically with our senior citizens in mind.  Watch the bulletin or this web page under the ?calendar? tap for more information. 

On a more routine bases however, the senior citizens meet to play cards and socialize every second and fourth Tuesday of the month to play ?Five Hundred?,  and all are welcomed.  For more information on this or other senior citizens activities please contact the Parish Office.

 MOMS (Ministries of Mothers Sharing)
The MOMS group consists of Mothers (and Grandmothers) who are trying to burn the candle at both ends in attempt to meet all the demands placed on them by today?s busy society.  MOMS allows for an opportunity for women to share thoughts and ideas on a variety of issues relating to both their faith, as well as issues relating to today?s family life.  By meeting and sharing with others who are in the same life situations helps one to prioritize some of life?s most important issues.  For more information on how to get involved in the MOMS group please contact the Parish Office.

 Faith Sharing
Throughout the year there are a number of opportunities for parishioners to meet for the sharing of their faith.  Some meet at the parish, while other small groups meet in private homes.  While all groups use the scriptures as a foundation, the various groups may use a variety of texts to follow for instruction as well as discussion.  In addition, copies of ?Exploring Your Sunday Readings? are also available in the rear of the church, and parishioners are encouraged to pick up a copy for private reflection, or for reflection and discussion with your own family and friends.  For information on becoming a part of a small faith sharing group contact the Parish Office, or watch the weekly bulletin for announcements of new groups forming.time when a persons entire world may have fallen apart.  For more information on the Separated and Divorced Group please contact the Parish Office or watch the Parish Bulletin for details.

 Catholic Singles
Catholic Singles is a city wide group of single adults over the age of 21.  They meet on regular bases to socialize, discuss faith and life issues, and organize social and charitable works and activities within the community at large.  For more information of the Catholic Singles Group please contact the Parish Office.

 Separated and Divorced
The Separated and Divorced group is a city wide support group that meets on monthly bases at St. Joe?s parish in Marion.  The group provides support and sometimes meaning to life at a time when a persons entire world may have fallen apart.  For more information on the Separated and Divorced Group please contact the Parish Office or watch the Parish Bulletin for details.
